20/21 Season Finally Kicks Into Gear

Keep checking the FB page or the blogger for condition reports. Groomers are staying on top of the new snow as schedules allow. At any rate, the conditions as of now (late January) are GREAT!

  1. Finally, some snow!

Let it be known that a pathetically unfit skate skier was noisily gasping his way uphill in the fresh snow behind a poor bobcat on Jan 26, as featured on the SW Nordic facebook page. He isn’t on facebook ( gasp! ), but he agrees that a few gaps or raised areas in the snow/shade fence would help mitigate this problem going forward; the cat eventually forced its way under the fence between opposing skiers. Two snowshoers were also making their way uphill at the time.

Thanks to all the hardworking groomers and trail maintenance volunteers that make this possible!
